Ingredients
- 0.75 cups water
- 0.5 cups milk
- 1 Tbsp yeast
- 3 cups flour
- 1.5 tsp salt
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 3 Tbsp unsalted butter
Procedure
- Heat water and milk to around 100°F
- Add yeast to liquid mixture, wait for bloom
- Whisk together flour, salt, and sugar
- Sufficient to mix a bit with dough hook
- Pour liquid into dry ingredient mix
- Mix until reasonably incorporated
- Add in butter, about one tablespoon at a time, while kneading
- Knead one to two minutes after butter fully incorporated
- Cover and let rise 1.5 hours
- Punch down and shape dough into vessel or final shape
- Let rise again for 0.75 to 1.0 hours
- Bake at 350°F for 35 to 40 minutes
